The Inspiration:

“Denali” comes from Koyukon, a traditional Native Alaskan language, and means “the tall one.” Denali is one of the Seven Summits of the world that mountaineers strive to peak. Astoundingly the natives were correct as Mount Denali holds claim to the highest peak in North America. At 20,310 feet Mount Denali stands nearly three-and-a-half vertical miles up above its relatively low 2,000-foot starting point. From base to summit, that sharp relief is over a mile taller than Everest’s.

You might experience the midnight sun, watch grizzlies, or view the northern lights at Denali National Park. Prepare to be astonished by the grandeur of the peak that is Denali National Park’s namesake. Just don’t call it Mount McKinley.
